Sergej Jakirovic, the manager of Hull City, praised striker Kyle Joseph for his outstanding performance after he netted two goals in the Tigers’ 3-1 victory over Millwall.
Joseph scored twice within the first 15 minutes, and Oli McBurnie contributed a third goal following Aidomo Emakhu’s effort for the hosts, who also saw Femi Azeez receive a red card.

“Kyle is a dedicated player, whether he’s on the wing or up front,” Jakirovic told BBC Radio Humberside. “He always gives his all for the team, and the squad appreciates him. You can see his commitment in every match as he strives to meet our expectations. He truly deserves all the accolades.”
The Hull manager emphasized that controlling set pieces was crucial to their victory, which has propelled Hull into the Championship’s top six. “I was very pleased with today’s performance. We started off slowly, but once we began to win second balls and effectively utilized transitions, we scored two wonderful goals,” he said.
“It was essential to manage set pieces against a very tall team like Millwall. I was eager for a third goal before halftime because at 1-0 or 2-0, conceding could shift the momentum, especially with the crowd’s energy. We conceded a goal when we had an extra man on the pitch, but after Oli scored our third, the match was effectively over. Overall, the team performed excellently today.”
