Inter have taken the lead in Serie A, as the top four teams remain closely packed within a mere three-point gap in an intense Scudetto battle. Meanwhile, Fiorentina finds themselves increasingly isolated at the bottom of the standings.

The Week 15 matches concluded with Roma securing a 1-0 victory over Como, which helps them solidify their position in fourth place.

This result places them within three points behind the new leaders Inter, two points behind AC Milan, and just one point short of Napoli.

For the foreseeable future, this will be the last accurate glimpse of the Serie A standings, as the Week 16 matches will occur at staggered times, allowing Napoli, Inter, AC Milan, and Bologna to compete in the Supercoppa Italiana in Riyadh.

This situation presents an opportunity for teams like Roma, Juventus, Como, and Lazio to apply pressure on the leading contenders.

At the opposite end of the Serie A table, the situation is quite different. Fiorentina now trails the rest of the league by four points and remains the only team without a win.

Verona’s 2-1 win in Florence allowed them to surpass Pisa, although they still remain in the relegation zone. This leaves Fiorentina a significant eight points behind safety, with Parma, Genoa, and Cagliari all sitting on 14 points.

Sassuolo managed a 2-2 draw at Milan, while Udinese triumphed over Napoli 1-0, solidifying their status as one of the surprise teams this season, with newly-promoted Cremonese only one point behind.
