The official ruling from the UEFA Control, Ethics and Disciplinary Body outlined the specifics of these sanctions and the justifications behind them.
“Prohibit Eintracht Frankfurt from selling tickets to its visiting fans for the next UEFA club competition match due to lighting fireworks and causing public disturbances.”
“To impose a fine of €30,000 on Eintracht Frankfurt and to bar them from selling tickets to their visiting supporters for one additional UEFA club competition match for use of fireworks and throwing objects; additionally, to fine Eintracht Frankfurt €8,000 for damages.”
Beyond immediate financial penalties, UEFA has also insisted that the club take responsibility for the physical damages incurred at the stadium.
