Italian media have turned their attention once more to Yann Bisseck following Inter’s Supercoppa Italiana defeat against Bologna. La Gazzetta dello Sport highlighted the defender’s latest handball incident as part of a troubling and repetitive trend.
“One hand pulls the other, and Inter always finds themselves back at square one,” the publication observed, citing quotes from FCInterNews.

The core issue, according to the newspaper, is that the hand involved in these fouls is consistently the same, occurring at critical moments, particularly within the penalty area.
La Gazzetta noted that Bisseck‘s repeated handball offenses have significantly impacted Inter’s 2025 season, which has concluded “without any silverware.”
The publication characterized the issue as “a gigantic factor,” pointing out that this is the third time such a blunder has proven crucial.

The earlier two incidents also occurred last season; one took place in stoppage time against Genoa at the Ferraris, and another critical error happened at San Siro against Lazio on the penultimate matchday.
Despite the backlash, Gazzetta indicates that these mistakes aren’t anticipated to affect Bisseck’s long-term standing at the club.
“At this moment, it appears that Bisseck is solely focused on Inter,” the report states.
“Even if that means taking on additional responsibilities.”
This season, the German has been utilized in various positions, including as the central center-back in defense before reverting to his more natural role on the right side.
The key challenge now is psychological.
After yet another significant error, Bisseck finds himself needing to respond effectively to rebuild his confidence and demonstrate that these missteps do not define his potential.
