Former Lazio midfielder Luis Alberto believes the Biancocelesti are demonstrating noticeable progress under Maurizio Sarri, despite the challenges they have faced this season.

“I’m not surprised,” said Luis Alberto. “I anticipated that something like this could occur. I regularly speak with Cataldi, Patric, Mario Gila, and Pedro. I’ve also had conversations with Taty. But as I always say, they have limited influence; the situation is as it is.”

Amidst the challenges, the former playmaker pointed to Lazio’s recent resilience as evidence of their progress. He highlighted matches where Sarri’s side remained competitive despite facing adversity, showcasing a developing mental strength within the squad.

“I believe they could have easily secured a win or draw in Milan,” he added. “The game could have taken a different turn. I also watched their match against Parma when they played with nine men and still managed to compete, eventually winning. Overall, I think they’ve significantly improved.”
