Patrick Dorgu might never top his stunning goal in a Manchester United kit after he finally broke the stalemate against Newcastle at Old Trafford.
The 21-year-old Danish international left-back has faced his share of criticism since joining from Lecce during the winter transfer window last season. However, he has shown remarkable improvement this season as he seeks to secure his place under manager Ruben Amorim.
In a tightly contested match that was scoreless, Dorgu unleashed an outstanding volley to find the back of the net, giving United the lead in the 24th minute against the Magpies.
This goal marked his first-ever in the Premier League and just the sixth of his career since making his debut in the 2022-23 season.
In United’s previous match, Dorgu also contributed by registering an assist during their 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa, marking his first back-to-back goal contributions in the league.
