Barcelona is expected to be quite active in the upcoming winter transfer window, which opens in under 24 hours. The club aims to secure a defender on loan, and there may also be a couple of players departing from the Spotify Camp Nou.
One player facing a potential exit is Roony Bardghji. After joining from FC Copenhagen over the summer, the young Swedish winger has found it challenging to earn consistent playing time, primarily due to competition from Lamine Yamal on the right flank. Several clubs have taken note of his situation, and with January approaching, they might be ready to make their move.
According to Sport, FC Porto is among the clubs interested in Bardghji, who has recorded one goal and two assists in just 341 minutes across 13 appearances this season. Interest in the 20-year-old is not limited to Porto, as teams from major European leagues are also monitoring his development.

Barcelona’s Position on Bardghji’s Potential Exit
Despite his limited playing time thus far this season, Bardghji is viewed as a key player by Barcelona head coach Hansi Flick. Consequently, the club is unlikely to consider any offers during the winter transfer window, as they are not interested in parting with players essential to their manager’s plans.
It makes strategic sense for Barcelona to retain Bardghji at least until summer. Even with limited opportunities, he has demonstrated his potential to be a game-changing player, which is likely why Flick values him. Additionally, Barcelona’s squad size is reduced due to restrictions in the transfer market, so unless a player, like Marc-Andre Ter Stegen, is assessed as surplus to requirements, no departures will be sanctioned unless a truly irresistible offer is made.
