Celtic Signs Bournemouths…

Celtic has secured a loan deal for Bournemouth right-back Julian Araujo, who will join the club for the remainder of the season.

The Mexican defender marks Wilfried Nancy’s first addition to the Celtic squad and is expected to challenge Alistair Johnston and Anthony Ralston for the right-back position in the manager’s preferred three-man defense.

Recently, the 24-year-old made 14 appearances for Bournemouth, with his last outing being an EFL Cup defeat against Brentford in August, where he received a red card for two yellow cards.

Araujo previously played for LA Galaxy and Las Palmas, the latter under a loan agreement from Barcelona.

“Celtic is a prestigious club, and I am eager to start working hard alongside my teammates to achieve success for our fans,” Araujo shared with Celtic media.

“I understand the expectations that come with playing for a club like Celtic, and I am prepared to meet those challenges. I look forward to contributing to bringing positive moments and winning football to our supporters.”

“I’ve already met the squad, and we have some fantastic players. We are all geared up for the second half of the season and will do everything we can for the fans.”

Nancy expressed his excitement, stating: “We are thrilled to welcome Julian to Celtic. He is a highly skilled player with valuable experience, and we believe his qualities will significantly benefit our team.”

Celtic’s upcoming fixture is on Saturday as they host Glasgow rivals Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.

More updates to come.
