Blackburn has managed to secure only one victory in their last nine Championship matches (D5 L3), following a 2-0 loss at home to Wrexham on New Year’s Day.
Rovers’ head coach Valerien Ismael commented to BBC Radio Lancashire: “It’s yet another setback in terms of the result. I can’t fault the players; they gave it their all, but we were lacking energy today.

“We lost the game in the first half. We conceded an avoidable first goal, and the second was a fantastic shot.
“We attempted to summon some energy for the second half, and things were better. Unfortunately, we lost two more players today, and it’s evident we are reaching the limits of our squad.”
