VfB Stuttgart received a positive update on Saturday as Ermedin Demirović returned to training following a metatarsal fracture in October.
Excited to be back on the field, the 27-year-old shared his thoughts with Bild.

“It was fantastic to have the ball at my feet once more,” Demirović stated. “I was eager not to just be a bystander but to actively engage in the challenges, which I was able to do, making it all the more enjoyable.”
After participating in his first training session since his injury, VfB’s No. 9 said, “It felt amazing. After training, I spoke with Martin (a coach), who was watching me throughout. I asked him if I looked fluid, and he replied, ‘Yes, it was good.’ That truly makes me happy.”
Originally from Hamburg, Demirović spent the holidays in his hometown, training with his brother, Semir, and an athletic trainer.
“It was tough,” he recalled to Bild. “We did a lot of running and training sessions, precisely what I needed to get back in shape. My brother really pushed me during our sprints around the Alster, but he was a great training partner.”
Reportedly, Stuttgart’s head coach Sebastian Hoeneß intends to include Demirović in the lineup for the second half of upcoming matches.
