Davies Thrilled by Blues…

Chris Davies, the manager of Birmingham, expressed his satisfaction with the team’s response after their tough loss to Watford on New Year’s Day, leading them to a 3-2 victory against Championship leaders Coventry.

Marvin Ducksch netted two goals, while on-loan Liverpool player Lewis Koumas contributed his first goal for Birmingham, creating an exciting Midlands encounter.

In an interview with BBC Radio WM, Davies stated: “I felt we demonstrated great strength today against the top team in the league. Many doubted us, but I thought the players were outstanding.”

“They had to showcase various aspects of their game, including moments of skill, solid goals, relentless running, and strong tackling. They did everything asked of them.”

Commenting on Ducksch’s performance, he said: “We know Marvin possesses quality, and he showed it today. He seemed to enjoy himself on the pitch, moving well and combining with others. His first goal was a fantastic finish; instead of playing it safe, he struck it with power, and it paid off.”
