Upcoming AFCON Tournaments

The AFCON 2027 tournament will be held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda during June and July of 2027. This will be the last AFCON before the tournament shifts to a quadrennial schedule beginning in 2028.

The 2028 tournament is anticipated to take place in the summer, with the host nation yet to be decided. Several countries are vying to host tournaments between 2028 and 2036, including Angola, Ethiopia, Guinea, Mali, Rwanda, Senegal, Morocco, and Egypt.
