Reports from Sunday suggest that Juventus is in discussions for an impressive transfer involving former Milan full-back Theo Hernandez. He has recently been playing in the Saudi Pro League with Al-Hilal during the 2025-26 season, under the management of ex-Inter head coach Simone Inzaghi.

Juventus Considering Summer Move for Theo Hernandez

Theo Hernandez left Milan after a six-season tenure at the conclusion of the 2024-25 season, joining Al-Hilal in a deal reportedly worth about €20 million plus bonuses. His current contract with the Saudi club is believed to pay him approximately the same amount annually.

Multiple Italian sources indicate that Theo is contemplating a departure from the Saudi Pro League. According to reports initiated by Carlo Pellegatti, discussions with Juventus have already reached an “advanced” stage.

It is essential to note that the reports from Sunday pertain to a possible summer transfer rather than a move in the January window.

Juventus had previously shown interest in the French player at various points throughout the 2024-25 season before he ultimately signed with Al-Hilal.

Theo also spoke to La Gazzetta dello Sport shortly before Christmas, where he stated that he never truly wished to leave Serie A but felt pressured by Milan’s threats to freeze him out if he remained for the last year of his contract, saying, “I deserved better treatment.”

It remains uncertain what the exact cost will be for Juventus to acquire Theo Hernandez should they choose to move forward with the deal. One thing is clear: the left-back will need to significantly reduce his current wages, estimated at around €20 million to €25 million per season, to join a Serie A club.
