Roma is diligently working to bolster their attacking lineup.

While Giacomo Raspadori is part of the Giallorossi’s plans, the focus is also on bringing in Joshua Zirkzee.

An agreement has been reached with Manchester United for a loan that includes an option to buy for €38 million, contingent on qualifying for the Champions League, and positive developments have emerged regarding Zirkzee’s agreement.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, Frederic Massara has had further discussions with Zirkzee’s representatives today.

The former Bologna striker is prepared to honor the deal he agreed upon with Roma, with a contract expected to be worth around €3.5 million per season, running until 2030.

However, the ongoing managerial turmoil at Manchester United is hindering all transfer decisions, including those that have already been made.

Fabrizio Romano adds that while Roma hopes to execute a double signing, Zirkzee’s transfer is still uncertain. Manchester United has yet to make a decision regarding the player for two key reasons.

The primary reason is the need to appoint a new coach, who will determine the future of the former Bologna player.

Additionally, the ongoing Africa Cup of Nations poses a factor, with Bryan Mbeumo and Amad Diallo, both forwards for United, participating in the tournament.

The English club has clearly stated they will not part with Zirkzee until after their players conclude their Africa Cup of Nations campaign.

Thus, outcomes could depend on the match between Cameroon and Morocco, where Roma’s Neil El Aynaoui will also feature.

If Cameroon is eliminated, United would regain Mbeumo, which could facilitate Zirkzee’s transfer.
