Roma is actively exploring options in the transfer market.

The latest player linked with the Giallorossi is Leo Sauer, a talented Slovakian winger born in 2005, currently contracted with Feyenoord.

In an interview with the Slovakian news outlet TVNOVINY.sk, the player’s father and agent, Július Sauer, provided insight into the situation.

“I’ve come across reports of Roma’s interest, but as of now, there’s nothing significant indicating an imminent transfer,” he stated.

According to Július, Feyenoord recognizes Leo’s potential: “Leo is under contract with Feyenoord until 2028. The club is aware of his development and has initiated discussions for a contract extension. They are mindful of interest from other teams and want to secure his future, making it uncertain whether he will move.”

“Ultimately, it will come down to a suitable offer and the prospect of playtime, as he seems to have considerable opportunities at Feyenoord. We’re not pushing for a transfer at any cost,” he added.

On the subject of a transfer fee, Július Sauer remarked: “To persuade Feyenoord to part with him, a very appealing offer of at least €15 million would likely need to materialize within the next two weeks, and I’m uncertain if any club will be prepared to make such an offer in January.”

Additionally, there is stiff competition for Sauer, with several prominent European clubs showing interest: “A top club from the Bundesliga has placed him high on their list, and various teams from the Premier League have made inquiries,” his father-agent revealed, confirming that they had declined a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia in favor of prioritizing his son’s development in Europe.
