Fans of Roma and Fiorentina are facing criticism following violent clashes that marred their Serie A matches this weekend.
The Giallorossi secured a 2-0 victory against Torino in Turin, while Fiorentina triumphed 2-1 over Bologna. Despite these positive outcomes, both clubs find themselves in the spotlight for troubling reasons.

On Sunday, around 200 supporters from both teams reportedly engaged in a brawl on the roadside, wielding iron bars and other makeshift weapons.
The Ministry of the Interior will make an official announcement on the incident tomorrow, following recommendations from the National Observatory on Sports Events (ONMS).
Ezio Simonelli, president of Serie A, addressed the situation today, stating:
“The events on the highway, where fans clashed, are extremely serious. We are working hard to promote a positive image of football, and incidents like this do not contribute to that goal. I would like to express my solidarity with law enforcement for their efforts in maintaining order.”

“I am aware that there will be discussions on this matter tomorrow, but Italian football cannot afford to conflate sports with criminal activity and violent confrontations that jeopardize the safety of participants and those who must intervene.”
