Crystal Palaces Sidiki…

SCO Angers forward Sidiki Chérif, who is being targeted by Crystal Palace, experienced an ankle injury during Sunday’s goalless draw against Paris FC.

The injury occurred in the first half during a challenge with Paris FC defender Otavio, as confirmed by his manager, Alexandre Dujeux, after the match. Although Chérif attempted to continue playing, he was ultimately substituted around the hour mark due to the injury.

However, L’Équipe reports that initial assessments of the ankle injury are encouraging, and Chérif’s potential transfer from Angers this month remains intact. Crystal Palace has reportedly made a €17 million bid for the young striker.

Laurent Boissier, sporting director of Le Scos, stated last week that he had no plans to let the striker leave. However, with the transfer deadline approaching, the situation could evolve quickly, as Chérif is believed to prefer a switch to the Premier League.
