Livingston manager David Martindale is throwing his support behind Hearts to clinch the Premiership title this season, potentially breaking the 40-year hold Celtic and Rangers have had on the trophy.
Currently, Hearts, managed by Derek McInnes, sit four points ahead of Rangers and six points clear of Celtic at the summit of the table, with 15 matches left to play.

Martindale believes that with backing from Brighton’s owner Tony Bloom, McInnes has the capability to lead his Hearts squad to victory.
“I see Hearts as the team to beat,” the Livingston boss stated. “Their consistency throughout the season has been impressive. With Del [McInnes] at the helm, I really want to see Hearts succeed. It would be great for Scottish football and for them personally.”
“We often complain about Rangers and Celtic dominating the league—seeing Hearts in this position is fantastic, right?”
“While everyone talks about the Old Firm’s struggles, Hearts have performed magnificently.”

“I know many players and staff at Hearts, and I regard it as an excellent football club with a solid structure both on and off the pitch. They truly have a significant chance.”
“Taking off my Livingston cap and putting aside my background as a Rangers supporter, I genuinely love Scottish football, and it would be a remarkable achievement if Hearts were to win the league.”
“Similar to Leicester’s incredible triumph in the English Premiership, I believe Hearts have all the potential to achieve that, especially when they face the Old Firm.”
