Jack Grealish Set toMiss…

Everton manager David Moyes has indicated that Jack Grealish (30) is expected to be sidelined for the remainder of the season due to a stress fracture in his foot, according to a report by Sky Sports.

The 30-year-old, on loan from Manchester City, sustained the injury during Everton’s 1-0 victory against Aston Villa on January 18 and may require surgery.

Ahead of Saturday’s match against Brighton, Moyes stated that the club believes an operation is “probably” necessary, though final confirmation is still pending.

If he does require surgery, it likely rules him out for the rest of the season,” Moyes commented. “This is really disappointing for both the player and the club. He has played a significant role in our success, and we will definitely miss him.

Grealish was having a productive stint at Everton following a challenging period at City, contributing two goals and six assists in 22 matches across all competitions. His improved performance had sparked hopes of a return to the England squad ahead of the upcoming World Cup this summer.

As the January transfer window nears its close, Moyes expressed that it is unlikely Everton will find a replacement for Grealish, stating that while the club is exploring options, new signings are “less likely than likely.”

On a positive note, Everton welcomed the return of Michael Keane from suspension, while Jarrad Branthwaite and Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall are making progress in their recoveries from injuries.
