Fenerbahçe and Al-Ittihad have finalized an agreement for the transfer of French international midfielder N’Golo Kanté (34) to the Turkish Süper Lig, as reported by L’Equipe. The 2018 World Cup winner had been under contract with the Saudi Pro League team until the summer of 2026, drawing interest from several European clubs due to his contractual situation.
Fenerbahçe moved swiftly, reaching an agreement on personal terms with Kanté, who emphasized his desire to return to European football to enhance his chances of being selected for Didier Deschamps’ World Cup squad next summer.
According to L’Equipe, an agreement between Al-Ittihad and Fenerbahçe was reached on Sunday, valuing Kanté’s remaining months at the SPL club at €4 million. Additionally, it is reported that Youssef En-Nesyri from Fenerbahçe will join Al-Ittihad as part of the transfer. Kanté is expected to sign a two-and-a-half-year contract with Fenerbahçe.
