Play was briefly interrupted at Stadio Giovanni Zini when a loud explosion rang out, followed by smoke, after an away fan’s firework struck Audero.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport and the Corriere della Sera, the individual was identified after arriving at a hospital in Cremona with injuries to three of his fingers, which he sustained while throwing the fireworks.

He is set to be arrested and banned from attending any matches, but it’s uncertain how officials will respond, particularly regarding the potential ban of all Nerazzurri fans from away games.

President Beppe Marotta spoke out to denounce the actions of the hooligan responsible and has offered apologies to the Cremonese club.
