According to several reports from Italy, Fiorentina full-back Robin Gosens has chosen to remain with La Viola in their fight against relegation, turning down an opportunity to join Nottingham Forest in the Premier League.
Gosens Declines Nottingham Forest Move, Committed to Fiorentina
On Sunday, it was revealed that Nottingham Forest had initiated talks for a possible late transfer involving the former Atalanta and Inter winger, who has been with Fiorentina for the past 18 months.
However, prominent football journalists Gianluca Di Marzio, Fabrizio Romano, and Gianluigi Longari have confirmed that Gosens has declined the offer from Nottingham Forest, expressing his intention to stay at Fiorentina during this crucial part of the season, despite the team’s ongoing battle to avoid relegation in Serie A.

The Viola have had a challenging start to the 2025-26 season, finding themselves at the bottom of the Serie A standings before Christmas, with their first win not coming until December 21.
Despite a slight improvement in form at the start of 2026, Paolo Vanoli’s side remains in the relegation zone, currently sitting in 18th place with 17 points from 23 matches so far this season.
