Allegri: ‘Important to reach 50 points, but Milan need to improve’
Massimiliano Allegri expressed that his Milan team still has areas to improve, even after securing a 3-0 victory away against Bologna on Tuesday night, with key players Rafael Leao, Christian Pulisic, and Alexis Saelemaekers unavailable.
The Rossoneri extended their Serie A unbeaten streak to 22 matches, thanks to goals from Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Christopher Nkunku, and Adrien Rabiot in an impressive performance at Dall’Ara.

In a post-match interview with DAZN, Allegri shared that Milan performed well due to the effective play of their makeshift striking duo, Nkunku and Loftus-Cheek, who had never previously started together.
“Nkunku and Loftus-Cheek possess remarkable quality,” Allegri explained.
“This match required our full attention as Bologna has been solid defensively. They are a dangerous team that plays well. The players excelled on both ends of the pitch.”
Despite the convincing win, Allegri emphasized the need for further improvement within the squad.
“Tonight was a good performance. However, I believe we need to enhance our ball management. Our success stemmed from Nkunku and Loftus-Cheek's efforts, which allowed us to dominate possession and create depth in our play.”

In highlighting aspects of Milan’s play that pleased him, Allegri stated: “Reaching 50 points this season was crucial for us, as our goal has always been to finish in the top four.
We maintained solid defense throughout the match, and it's essential not to concede goals. Looking forward is critical; it’s a long season, and we need many more points for Champions League qualification. We will take pleasure in this break, especially since we won't be playing on Sunday, and hope to have all our players back soon.”
