Inter Milan Coach Hails…

Inter Milan’s head coach, Cristian Chivu, is anticipating a challenging match against Sassuolo and is urging his players to demonstrate focus, intensity, and the right mindset. He also expressed that watching Lautaro Martinez play is “a pleasure” for fans of the sport.

In an interview with Sky Sport Italia prior to the game, Chivu acknowledged the significant threat posed by Sassuolo based on their current form and their historical ability to create difficulties for Inter.

The Nerazzurri arrive at the Mapei Stadium fully aware that they need to secure three crucial points, especially after Napoli’s late victory over Genoa the previous day.

“We need to approach this match with the right level of attention, attitude, and competitive spirit,” he explained. “This won’t be an easy game. Sassuolo has previously troubled us and causes challenges for every team. They are enjoying a strong season, even as a newly promoted side.”

Chivu is planning several changes following the Coppa Italia victory, viewing these adjustments as a strength.

“The positive aspect of this rotation is having a squad that gives their all and remains available for the team,” Chivu noted. “The league is a long journey, and we need to be ambitious because we are Inter. This club has built a significant legacy, allowing us to compete at a high level and gain international recognition.”

Chivu also praised captain Lautaro Martinez, who is nearing another personal achievement.

“What stands out is his hunger and desire to be a game-changer,” Chivu remarked. “He is driven to win and improve each day in training. His attributes are numerous, and for any football enthusiast, watching players like Lautaro is truly a joy.”
