Inter Milan, currently leading Serie A, is apparently eager to secure veteran midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan with a new contract.
As reported by Tuttosport through FCInterNews, the 37-year-old could potentially conclude his playing career at San Siro if both parties consent to a short-term contract extension.

His departure in the summer appeared inevitable until recently.
However, his outstanding performances seem to have prompted the Nerazzurri to reconsider their previous decision.

In turn, Mkhitaryan has reciprocated by delivering stellar performances on the pitch.
Consequently, Inter is deliberating on extending his contract for a short term.
This would allow the Armenian midfielder to finish his career at San Siro.
Alternatively, a move back to his homeland or interest from several Saudi Pro League clubs could be on the horizon.
