Fiorentina is on the brink of reaching the Conference League Round of 16 after a commanding 3-0 win against Jagiellonia in the play-off match, thanks to goals from Luca Ranieri, Rolando Mandragora, and Roberto Piccoli.
The Viola traveled to Bialystok without the injured David De Gea, along with Moise Kean, Dodo, Manor Solomon, and Albert Gudmundsson. Additionally, Marco Brescianini, Oliver Christensen, and Daniele Rugani were cup-tied. This allowed Luca Lezzerini to make his second appearance in UEFA competitions, following a 3-2 defeat to PAOK in November 2016. Meanwhile, Jagiellonia was missing their suspended top scorer Afimico Pululu and midfielder Taras Romanczuk, who are set to return for the second leg on February 26.

Nicolò Fortini nearly scored an own goal while struggling to deal with a low, tricky cross from Jesus Imaz.
Giovanni Fabbian’s volley from a Rolando Mandragora cross was expertly saved by the Jagiellonia goalkeeper.
Fiorentina came close to scoring just before halftime as Fabbian controlled a pass from the left and took a half-volley from 12 yards, forcing the goalkeeper into a challenging save at the near post.

Jagiellonia thought they had equalized when a ball was played across from the right, but Bartlomiej Wdowik was flagged offside as he scored from close range.
Shortly after, a free kick from Wdowik curled around the wall and struck the far post, just out of reach of Lezzerini.

However, Fiorentina extended their lead with a spectacular free kick by Mandragora, curling into the top corner with precision.
Fazzini’s run was halted after he slipped past two defenders, but Piccoli was fouled by Dawid Drachal, resulting in a penalty kick. Piccoli took the penalty himself, successfully converting to secure a 3-0 advantage for Fiorentina in Poland.
