Rovers Midfielder Tronstad…

Sondre Tronstad, the Blackburn Rovers midfielder, is uncertain for Saturday’s Championship fixture against Derby County.

The 30-year-old was substituted at halftime during Tuesday’s 2-1 home loss to Bristol City.

“He came off with a slight knee injury, so he’s a significant doubt right now,” said Blackburn’s head coach Michael O’Neill in an interview with BBC Radio Lancashire.

“He’s under evaluation, but he wasn’t able to finish the game. We’ll monitor his progress over the next 48 hours.”

This season, Tronstad has only missed five of Rovers’ 34 league matches and is currently in his third year with the team.

“He brings a wealth of experience, and during my short time here, I’ve been impressed by his character and performance. We’ll just have to wait and see how he progresses in the coming days, but losing him would be a blow for the squad,” O’Neill added.

Currently, Blackburn sits 20th in the Championship, with a four-point cushion above the relegation zone.
