After Hull’s 1-0 victory over Portsmouth, manager Sergej Jakirovic shared his thoughts with BBC Radio Humberside.
“Our performance wasn’t great; it was pretty average. We struggled with possession, often lacking control and making unforced errors that led to losing the ball,” he explained.

“At half-time, we agreed that we could play with more confidence and urgency. The substitutions helped boost our energy levels, as we weren’t at our best in the first half.
“I was frustrated because that wasn’t a true reflection of our team. I’m not concerned about how we look, but I do want us to play significantly better.
“We really only created one clear chance, spending too much time in our own half. Nonetheless, it’s crucial that we secured the three points.”
