Rochdale regained their momentum in the National League title race, securing a 2-0 victory over Aldershot Town, thanks to a brace from Emmanuel Dieseruvwe.
Following a previous match where they lost their top position due to conceding two late goals in a draw against Halifax, Rochdale faced an Aldershot team that had been unbeaten in seven games.

Dieseruvwe struck first in the 17th minute, finding the net after receiving a through ball from Devante Rodney.
Aldershot nearly equalized shortly after, as they responded with a long throw that led to several blocked attempts before Cameron Hargreaves sent his shot over the bar.
Rochdale doubled their lead in the 50th minute when Dieseruvwe scored with a low shot from outside the box, marking his 20th goal of the season.
