Guernsey FC Women’s challenging streak continued as they fell 3-1 to AFC Stoneham in the Southern Region Women’s Football League Division One South.
This marks the Green Lionesses’ seventh defeat in their last nine league matches, placing them eighth in the standings.

Guernsey had an impressive start when Ruby Smith netted her fourth goal in as many games, giving them a 1-0 lead just 15 minutes into the match.
However, the hosts, who climbed to third place with this win, equalized thanks to Praise Petrache in the 32nd minute.
After the break, Stoneham increased their pressure and took the lead midway through the second half with a goal from Aimee Gritt. Megan Newton then sealed the victory for Stoneham with a goal in the final 13 minutes.
