Thats the Josh We All…

Vitor Matos celebrated Josh Key’s resurgence after the right-back scored a crucial goal in Swansea City’s win against Portsmouth.

Key netted the decisive goal just before halftime at Fratton Park, sending a deflected shot from outside the box into the bottom corner.

Prior to this match, Key had only scored once in 20 months before finding the net in Swansea’s victory over Watford at the end of January.

He has now scored two goals in his last five appearances and, more importantly, is starting to show signs of regaining his top form in Swansea’s defensive lineup.

Key’s turnaround follows a challenging season for the former Exeter City player, who has mostly been serving as a backup to Ethan Galbraith.

Swansea’s head coach Matos expressed his satisfaction with Key’s return to form, stating: “That’s the Josh we all know and want, so I’m really happy to see him back.”

“Josh is a fantastic professional, a great young man with the right mindset. It was just a matter of time and building back his confidence.”

“It’s true for everyone, not just players—everyone experiences ups and downs. The key is finding the resilience to bounce back.”
