Tudor on Team News:…

Tottenham manager Igor Tudor addressed the media ahead of the Premier League match against Liverpool at Anfield (kick-off at 16:30 GMT).

Here are the highlights from his press conference:

  • On injury updates and the status of Joao Palhinha and Cristian Romero, who were injured in the last match: “No, they won’t be available. Micky [van de Ven] is also out. [Yves] Bissouma has a muscle injury, and Conor [Gallagher] has a fever, but he is likely to play.”

  • Tudor mentioned there is a “chance” that Palhinha and Romero could return for the second leg against Atletico Madrid on Wednesday.

  • Destiny Udogie is confirmed to return for the match against Nottingham Forest on Sunday, March 22.

  • Regarding goalkeeper Antonin Kinsky, who he substituted early in the last match: “He returned the next day and was positive and effective in training. It’s likely a unique situation for many.”

  • On the challenges currently facing the club: “It’s tough. Not just because of the last game, but due to the overall situation. It’s a challenging time, and changing things is crucial. In life, you can choose how you perceive circumstances.”

  • Tudor elaborated: “You can either feel sorry for yourself or you can choose to fight. You can decide to be a victim or actively change your circumstances. This is the mindset I shared with the players. The glass can be seen as half-empty or half-full. There are a lot of difficulties, but these tough times are temporary. I have faith in those players who seize this opportunity to stand tall and evolve into better individuals and athletes.”

  • On Archie Gray’s versatility: “He has had to adapt his position in every match he’s played. While he is an exceptional talent, this suggests some underlying issues. He has my utmost respect.”

  • When asked if he feels he is the right person for the job: “That’s not something I’m focusing on.”
