Sports Judge Gerardo Mastrandrea has officially announced the disciplinary outcomes from the final round, confirming Wesley’s one-match suspension.
AS Roma had attempted to appeal this decision, claiming there was a potential case of mistaken identity related to Wesley’s yellow card issued in the 19th minute of the second half during the match against Como, but their efforts were unsuccessful.

The club contended that the foul against Diao was actually committed by Rensch, not Wesley, but the appeal was denied.
The ruling was influenced by additional preliminary findings presented by referee Davide Massa, who detailed the incident: “Como player No. 38, Diao, was legally challenged by Roma player No. 2, Rensch, but simultaneously was also fouled by Roma player No. 43, Wesley.”
The VAR room corroborated the referee’s decisions, with Fabbri confirming that he conducted a review and found no basis for a correction. The Sports Judge noted: “The stipulations of Article 61, paragraph 2, regarding Roma’s claim cannot be applied.”
As a result, Wesley will miss the upcoming match against Lecce.
