The PSG winger scored twice after coming on as a substitute in the first leg, helping secure a commanding 5-2 victory at Parc des Princes. He started in the second leg at Stamford Bridge and made an immediate impact, scoring just six minutes in. Les Parisiens clinched a 3-0 win on the night, resulting in an 8-2 triumph on aggregate.

In a post-match interview with Get French Football News, Kvaratskhelia, who was named man of the match, shared his sentiments. “We aimed to regain our confidence. We are playing our style of football. To come to Stamford Bridge and win 3-0 isn’t easy, but we managed it, so we know we are capable of anything. We just need to believe in ourselves,” he stated.
Kvaratskhelia suggests Safonov deserved MOTM honors
The Georgian international remarked, “In the Champions League, every opponent is tough, and everyone wants to compete. We focus on our game, regardless of whether it’s against a Premier League team.”
Kvaratskhelia also praised goalkeeper Matvey Safonov, saying, “He was outstanding tonight. Even when I received the MOTM award, my thoughts were on him because he had an incredible game and made numerous crucial saves. We are fortunate to have him.”
