Marc Guehi, the Manchester City defender, will not be able to participate in the Carabao Cup final against Arsenal on Sunday due to being cup-tied.
The 25-year-old center-back played three matches for his former club, Crystal Palace, during this competition before joining Manchester City after the semi-final first leg against Newcastle.

Under new EFL regulations set to take effect before the 2025-26 season, players must be registered prior to the semifinal stage to be eligible for the competition.
Manager Pep Guardiola expressed that “pure logic” indicates Guehi should be allowed to play at Wembley, but his requests to feature were not approved.
Antoine Semenyo, who joined City from Bournemouth in January, was eligible and scored during City’s 2-0 win at St James’ Park in the first leg.
