Barcelona star voices…

Hansi Flick has fostered a strong culture in the Barcelona dressing room, but some issues are beginning to emerge. The most recent concern involves Roony Bardghji, who has faced challenges in his inaugural season at the Spotify Camp Nou.

Bardghji made the move from FC Copenhagen last summer and has made a positive impression when given the chance, yet he has only appeared in 22 matches across all competitions, primarily coming off the bench.

Recently, Bardghji expressed his frustrations regarding his limited playing time in an interview with Sverige Television (via Sport).

“Honestly, I’ve had minimal playing time so far. I have patience, but I believe I deserve more opportunities. I’m not entirely satisfied, but I understand this is football. I respect my teammates who have been here longer, but I know my capabilities and have great confidence in myself.”

Bardghji’s Future at Barcelona

During the winter transfer window, Bardghji was linked with a potential exit from Barcelona, with FC Porto expressing interest. At that time, Flick ruled out a transfer for the Swedish winger, but the summer may present new opportunities for a departure.

Barcelona is actively seeking a new winger, with Marcus Rashford being a primary target. However, they prefer versatility, looking for someone who can operate on both flanks. Should they successfully recruit a player fitting that profile, it could push Bardghji further down the right-wing hierarchy, making a loan or permanent transfer more likely.

Bardghji will certainly be a player to monitor as the summer transfer window approaches. With opportunities for a potential exit from Barcelona looming, his recent remarks – which may not align with Flick’s views – might hasten his departure.
