Champions in 3 Countries…

Many football clubs around the world have enjoyed decades of dominance in their respective leagues. Teams such as Bayern Munich in Germany, Celtic in Scotland, and PSG in France have consistently claimed the title for nearly every season over the past decade. However, one club can only look wistfully at the notion of a championship streak in just one nation.

Sudanese powerhouse Al Hilal Club is currently on track to secure the top-flight title in a third country (source: “11Freunde”). Regrettably, the circumstances leading to this opportunity are far from joyful.

When civil war erupted in 2023, the Premier League was abruptly suspended, leaving Al Hilal without a league to compete in.

Fortunately, the African Football Confederation (CAF) provided the reigning champions with a special waiver. As per an official announcement, Al Hilal Club was permitted to play in any other professional league across Africa until further notice.
