Getafe has secured its first summer signing ahead of time with Martin Satriano, their standout performer at the Santiago Bernabeu, set to make his stay at the Coliseum permanent.
Initially joining on loan from Olympique Lyon in January, Satriano quickly became a key player for manager Jose Bordalas. Among five loan signings made during the winter transfer window, his contribution has been notable, helping Getafe rise in the league standings in February and March.

Getafe Finalizes Permanent Signing of Satriano
The agreement for Satriano included a purchase option, and Getafe has now confirmed his permanent transfer. He has signed a four-year contract that will keep him at the club through 2030. Although the transfer fee has not been disclosed, Transfermarkt indicates that the cost is around €6.5 million.
Satriano’s Impact at Getafe
Since his arrival on loan, Satriano has started all 10 La Liga matches under Bordalas, missing just 13 minutes of play. He has netted three goals, including decisive strikes against Villarreal and Real Madrid, the latter being a stunning volley that secured Getafe their second-ever victory at the Bernabeu.

The Uruguayan has had a varied career since his €2.4 million transfer from Nacional to Inter in 2020. After stints at Brest, Empoli, and Lens, he joined Lyon on deadline day last summer. However, after the arrival of Endrick Felipe at Stade Gerland, Satriano found himself seeking a new opportunity. He has flourished in a dynamic forward partnership with Luis Vazquez in 2026.
Getafe Aims to Retain Loan Players
In addition to Satriano’s permanent signing, Vazquez and defender Zaid Romero have significantly contributed to the team’s resurgence at the Coliseum. According to Marca, it is expected that Vazquez along with fellow loanees Veljko Birmancevic and Sebastian Boselli will stay for the next season. Although Getafe does not hold a buy option for Club Brugge’s Romero, they are eager to retain him.
