Roma Set to Generate

The assembly of Lega Calcio Serie A has recently endorsed a majority agreement to finalize a €300 million deal with IMG, concluding years of legal disputes.

The origins of this case trace back to the period from 2008 to 2018, when the Antitrust Authority identified a collusive agreement that impeded competition, adversely affecting the value of television rights sold internationally.

Currently, 17 clubs, including Roma, support the continuation of negotiations, with the aim of securing earnings between €15 and €20 million each.

This amount would provide a substantial financial boost for the Trigoria club, particularly in light of Financial Fair Play regulations and the necessary capital gains that must be realized by June 30.

As a result, the Giallorossi could leverage this agreement to enhance its financial standing, positively influencing its transfer market activities and fulfilling its financial obligations to conclude the season in adherence to UEFA standards.
