Harry Kane and Luis Díaz propelled Bayern Munich into the final of the German Cup with a 2-0 victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday.

Kane netted the opener in the first half—marking his 52nd goal of the season across all competitions—while Díaz sealed the win with a goal in stoppage time, setting up a final clash against either Stuttgart or Freiburg at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on May 23.

This will be Bayern’s first final appearance since they triumphed over Leverkusen 4-2 to achieve a domestic double in 2000.

“I’ve missed Berlin,” remarked Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, following a semifinal in which he had little to do until he made a stunning save with his fingertips to deny Nathan Tella an equalizer.

This victory keeps Bayern in the hunt for a treble, having already secured the Bundesliga title on Saturday. They are set to face defending champions Paris Saint-Germain in the semifinals of the Champions League, beginning with the first leg on Tuesday in Paris.

Kane opened the scoring in the 22nd minute after a quick throw-in on the right. Jamal Musiala advanced the ball, crossed it, allowing Díaz to let it pass to the well-positioned Kane, who finished with a shot under the crossbar.

Bayern dominated the first half, testing Leverkusen goalkeeper Mark Flekken with ten shots on goal while the hosts failed to register any attempts.

Díaz added the second goal during a breakaway, initially flagged offside when Leon Goretzka slid him the ball. Díaz protested the call, and after a VAR review, Bayern was able to celebrate the goal.

Defending champions Stuttgart will host Freiburg on Thursday. The semifinal matches were rescheduled by a day because Bayern, Stuttgart, and Freiburg all played in the Bundesliga on Sunday, with Freiburg also engaged in the Europa League, where they face Braga in the semifinals.
