Reports emerged last week indicating that Tottenham has an agreement in place to secure the signing of Marcos Senesi.
The 28-year-old defender is set to depart Bournemouth at the end of the summer, following the expiration of his contract, which he signed back in 2022.

The Argentine center-back made the move from Feyenoord, where he was under the guidance of Arne Slot, to Bournemouth, at the time led by technical director Richard Hughes.
Now, with Hughes and Slot both at Liverpool, the aggressive left-footed player has been identified as a possible target for the transfer window.
The Premier League champions are looking for additional depth and competition at center-back, particularly considering the long-term future of Virgil van Dijk being a priority consideration.

The struggling London club currently faces uncertainty regarding their Premier League status, leading them to postpone recruitment decisions until the season concludes.

This opens the pathway for a potential move to Merseyside, as other teams appear to be withdrawing from the competition for Senesi.
“Senesi might favor a move to Spurs if they manage to stay up, but my sources indicate that clubs like Liverpool are still very much in the running for his signature,” according to the report.
“Liverpool is actively scouring the center-back market to bolster their squad depth, even with the potential retention of Ibrahima Konate who may be signing a new contract.
“Previously, interest was shown from clubs such as Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Chelsea, but their interest seems to have diminished. Meanwhile, the player is known to have turned down approaches from Juventus and Borussia Dortmund due to unmet demands.
