Barcelona Keeping a Close…

As reported by SPORT, FC Barcelona is closely monitoring the impressive performances of former La Masia talent Sergi Dominguez, who is having a remarkable season with Dinamo Zagreb, attracting interest from European clubs.

After spending the first half of the previous season with Barcelona’s first team and making appearances under Hansi Flick, the defender opted for a new challenge and moved on in the summer of 2025.

His choice to join Dinamo Zagreb has proven to be beneficial, allowing him to grow and refine his abilities since his move to Croatia.

Dominguez has firmly established himself as a crucial player for a side that competed in this season’s Europa League, reaching the play-offs, and has accumulated an impressive 3,395 minutes across 39 official matches.

He played an instrumental role in Dinamo Zagreb’s league title, helping the team finish 15 points ahead of Hajduk Split. His consistent performance as a centre-back has been vital to their success.

Gaining Experience and Visibility

Barcelona sold Dominguez for €1.2 million while retaining a 20% stake in any future transfer. Having joined the club as a youth player in 2017, he left at the age of 20 to pursue regular first-team football.

His impressive displays at Dinamo Zagreb have drawn attention, including from Barcelona. The Croatian league is becoming increasingly recognized as a hotspot for scouting emerging talents by major European clubs.

His outstanding form has generated interest from various clubs, including Italian teams and Lazio, who are contemplating a move. Dinamo, aware of his market value, is unlikely to entertain offers below €10 million, likely seeking closer to €15 million.

Barcelona continues to keep tabs on his development due to the 20% sell-on clause, as a future transfer could yield a significant profit.
