Change is on the horizon for Liverpool this summer.
Head coach Arne Slot and sporting director Richard Hughes are working diligently to find the right strategy to enhance the team’s performance. This will primarily involve bolstering the squad through new signings in the transfer market.

Among their top targets are Marcos Senesi, Yan Diomande, and Bradley Barcola. As reigning Premier League champions, they need additional senior options at centre-back and an upgrade in one-on-one capabilities out wide.
However, the changes may not stop with just the first-team roster.
A reshuffle in the coaching staff could also be in the cards. Slot previously had John Heitinga by his side during the title-winning campaign but lost his fellow Dutchman to Ajax after he was appointed head coach there.

Etienne Reijnen set to join Liverpool
The Dutch coach was unable to relocate to Merseyside in 2024 alongside Slot due to work permit complications.
However, Robin van Persie’s current assistant seems close to resolving those issues. This means the set-piece specialist might join the Liverpool staff in preparation for next season.
“Another possibility is Etienne Reijnen, who previously worked with Liverpool’s head coach at Feyenoord,” the report states.
“Work permit challenges prevented him from joining his former boss on Merseyside in 2024.
“Reijnen, known for conducting exceptional training sessions and his expertise in set-pieces, is on track to obtain the necessary qualifications to work in the UK, and Slot has indicated a desire to bring in a new face to his team.”
