Arsenal has officially launched its new home kit for the 2026/27 season on Friday morning, with the shirt already available for purchase. However, fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the team donning it in a match.
Traditionally, Arsenal has debuted their new kits during the last home game of the season, but indications prior to the launch suggested that they would not follow this pattern this year. Indeed, there has been no announcement regarding the new kit being worn in the final three matches of the 2025/26 season.

Therefore, it is anticipated that the men’s team will showcase the new kit during the pre-season, while they will continue wearing the current 2025/26 home shirt in their upcoming match against Burnley and in the Champions League final later this month.
Pre-season plans are taking shape, including a confirmed match against Real Betis at Aviva Stadium in Ireland on August 5th, a potential Emirates Cup match, as well as a possible Community Shield clash (which would be confirmed if Manchester City defeats Chelsea this weekend).

Arsenal’s decision to postpone the kit debut may also reflect their ambition for success, as the Gunners are still vying for titles in the Premier League and the Champions League during these decisive matches.
It would seem unusual to spend nearly an entire season sporting one jersey, only to celebrate a victory in another.

Potential complications regarding Arsenal’s sleeve sponsorship may also have influenced the timing. The new kits feature ‘Deel’ on the sleeves, while the old kits have ‘Visit Rwanda’. With the Visit Rwanda deal set to end this season, it’s likely that they wouldn’t approve of the team showcasing the new branding during these crucial final matches.
To avoid complications, it seems simplest for the team to continue wearing the existing jersey until the new one can debut later this summer.
