Sir David Beckham has become the first billionaire sportsman in Britain, as reported by the Sunday Times Rich List. He and his wife, Lady Victoria Beckham, have seen their combined wealth soar to £1.185 billion, a dramatic increase from the £500 million reported in the 2025 list.

This remarkable growth in their fortune is largely due to Sir David’s investments in the United States, particularly following the signing of Lionel Messi to Inter Miami until 2028, which has significantly boosted the value of his stake in the club. Additionally, a substantial property development adjacent to Inter Miami’s home has added further financial gains.

Simultaneously, Lady Beckham’s fashion label has achieved over £100 million in revenue.

This update comes during a time of familial tensions, particularly concerning their eldest son, Brooklyn, who accused his parents of “trying endlessly to ruin my relationship since before my wedding” in a detailed social media post in January. He also mentioned that his wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, the daughter of billionaire Nelson Peltz, felt “disrespected” by the Beckham family.

Newcomers to the rich list include Oasis stars Liam and Noel Gallagher, who reportedly generated joint wealth of £375 million from their sell-out tour last year. Although fans were thrilled by the reunion, many expressed outrage over soaring ticket prices, prompting investigations into dynamic pricing practices by the government and competition watchdogs.

Meanwhile, Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight is working on a documentary about the reunion concerts, set to be released in cinemas and on Disney+.

The list also welcomes Glastonbury Festival organizer Emily Eavis, whose family’s wealth is estimated at £400 million. Eavis’s father, Sir Michael, first hosted the festival at Worthy Farm in 1970, and the business is now partly held by family trusts.

The billionaire Hinduja family continues to top the annual list for the fourth consecutive year, particularly following the passing of patriarch Gopichand Hinduja last year. Their wealth has risen from £35.3 billion to £38 billion this year.

Notable figures such as Sir Elton John, Sir Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Sir Brian May, theatre mogul Lord Andrew Lloyd-Webber, author J.K. Rowling, beauty mogul Charlotte Tilbury, and racing driver Sir Lewis Hamilton also appear in the annual rankings.

The King, with an estimated wealth of £680 million, is also included in the list. Boxer Tyson Fury has made his debut in the 40 under 40 list with an estimated fortune of £162 million, outshone by musicians Ed Sheeran (£410 million), Harry Styles (£235 million), and Adele (£172 million). Pop star Dua Lipa appears with a fortune of £150 million, while Harry Potter actor Daniel Radcliffe narrowly makes the top 40, holding £103 million.
