Napoli have secured their spot in the Champions League with one match remaining, leading to the imminent completion of Rasmus Hojlund’s permanent transfer from Manchester United for €44 million.
Napoli clinched their Champions League qualification with a 3-0 victory against Pisa on Sunday, which confirmed their top-four finish, allowing for Hojlund’s transfer from Manchester United to be finalized.

Hojlund Set for Permanent Transfer to Napoli from Man United
The Danish international transferred to the Stadio Maradona last summer on a €6 million loan deal with an option to buy, which became mandatory upon qualification for the Champions League. Hojlund is now expected to join Napoli permanently for an additional fee of €44 million.

Regardless of their Champions League qualification, Napoli would have signed Hojlund, a fact confirmed by director Giovanni Manna. However, with the qualification now confirmed, Hojlund’s future at Napoli beyond the summer is secured.

This season, Hojlund has made 44 appearances, netting 15 goals and logging over 3,400 minutes of playtime. He has often been the sole striker available at the Stadio Maradona throughout the season.
During Napoli’s recent victory over Pisa, Hojlund scored a late goal, securing the team’s Champions League qualification with one match still to go in the 2025-26 season.
