When will Arsenal secure…

Arsenal has the opportunity to claim their first Premier League title in 22 years this Tuesday evening, provided that Manchester City does not secure a victory against Bournemouth.

The Gunners currently lead the league with a five-point cushion over Pep Guardiola’s team, having completed 37 out of their 38 matches this season.

City has two games remaining, with their next one at the Vitality Stadium against Bournemouth.

As it stands, Arsenal has amassed 82 points and can achieve a maximum of 85 points this season. City sits at 77 points and can reach a maximum of 83.

If City loses to Bournemouth, their highest possible total would drop to 80 points, while a draw would allow them to reach 81.

In either outcome, Mikel Arteta’s Gunners will clinch their first league title since the 2003-04 season with a match still to play if Bournemouth does not lose.

Should City come out on top against Bournemouth, they would enter the season’s final day just two points behind Arsenal.

In that scenario, City must defeat Aston Villa on Sunday and must also rely on Arsenal to not win their away match against Crystal Palace.

If this occurs, City could secure the title based on goal difference with a win and an Arsenal draw, or by a single point if City wins and Arsenal loses.

According to Opta’s analysis, Arsenal has an 86.44% chance of winning the title.
