Spalletti May Step Down as…

A striking report from La Stampa suggests that Luciano Spalletti may be ready to resign if Juventus does not secure a place in the Champions League.

The coach, who took the position on October 30, 2025, had recently extended his contract until June 2028.

However, there are indications of stress between Spalletti and director Damien Comolli, leading club patron John Elkann, heir to the Agnelli family, to face a decision on whom to support moving forward.

Juventus was on the verge of clinching a top-four finish, but following a 2-0 loss to Fiorentina, they have dropped to joint fifth place alongside Como.

As they approach the final weekend of the season, Juventus needs to win the derby against Torino and rely on at least one of Roma or Milan to falter to reclaim a Champions League spot.

La Stampa reports that Spalletti is willing to submit his resignation if he cannot meet the club’s primary goal for the season.

It is also possible that Juventus may reject his resignation and persuade him to stay while granting him more authority over team decisions.
