“Good evening, Madridistas. Speaking right now is challenging because of how emotional I am about this farewell. First and foremost, I want to thank our president, Don Florentino. He brought me back from Germany, and together we have enjoyed many Champions League victories. One moment I cherish is how he renewed my contract less than 24 hours after my knee injury.”
“I must also thank my teammates. The last couple of seasons have not been easy, but I’m confident we will be champions again. This is Real Madrid, and as our history suggests, we will rise again. I can’t help but reflect on the glorious times we’ve had. We’ve concluded an incredible era—four Champions League wins in five years, La Décima, and three in a row. I think of great players like Cristiano, Ramos, Ancelotti, Zidane… a multitude of names that this badge has showcased. They propelled us to greatness.”
Carvajal: I Hope to Return in the Future

“It’s hard to put this into words. Emotions catch you off guard. Seeing the training ground yesterday and the incredible tifo from the fans today, along with all the applause… it’s impossible not to feel overwhelmed. I’m closing a beautiful chapter and an extraordinary career. I’m filled with gratitude towards the club and its supporters. Thank you all; I’ve had the time of my life, from the very first day to the very last. I hope my feelings are mutual. I look forward to returning home someday, albeit in a different capacity, but always ready to support.”
