Cómo celebrar el triunfo…

Como and their coach, Cesc Fabregas, are celebrating their remarkable achievement of qualifying for the Champions League for the very first time with a parade through the city on an open-top bus.

Going into the final match of the season, Como was tied for sixth place with Juventus, just two points behind Milan and Roma.

Their impressive 4-1 win against Cremonese, coupled with Milan’s surprising 2-1 home defeat to Cagliari, turned the tide in their favor and helped them secure fourth place.

A Significant Milestone for Como

Just two years ago, the team was in Serie B and had never experienced European competition until now, let alone making it to the Champions League.

As they departed from Stadio Sinigaglia for their celebratory parade, they shared moments from the event on their social media platforms.

This season was filled with milestones, as Como also reached the Coppa Italia semi-finals for the first time in their history, facing off against eventual winners Inter.

With a record of 20 wins, 11 draws, and 7 losses, the team netted 65 goals while conceding just 29. Only the champions, Inter, scored more this season with a total of 89 goals.

Looking ahead, Como will be competing in the world’s premier club tournament next season, and their fans are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the best players at Stadio Sinigaglia.
